Administrator Best Practices - Managing Users
Learn some of the options you can use to streamline the administration of your Zedi Access users. Zedi Access (formerly smart-alek.com) uses comprehensive methodology for adding, changing and keeping track of the people on your system. This course will show you how to make web portal administration faster and simpler for you and your company.

- user profiles (add, modify, or remove users)
- permissions or rights
- groups
- permissions reporting
Reporting with Zedi Access
Zedi Access (formerly smart-alek.com) maintains a wealth of information about your wells. Using the reporting tools, you can find the information you need quickly and easily. With Report Manager, you can manipulate the data in customizable reports specific to your business and the operational needs of your team. In this workshop, we show you the reports available to you, and then step through the process of creating reports for your unique requirements.
This session covers how you can use reports to:
- identify trends
- predict when to do well optimization
- prevent some events such as cold weather shutdowns that can cause hydrates to form
Using Alarm Manager
Carefully defining and monitoring alarms can close the gap between discovering a problem and resolving it. In this workshop, learn how to use alarms to direct your attention to the most urgent problem that needs attention. Discover how alarms can be included in your daily schedule to assist with escalating priorities to optimize production.

- monitor to minimize downtime
- schedule to have alarms called to different people or groups at different times of the day and week
Well Test Application
Learn how you can avoid relocation fees using one Smart-Alek device to test multiple wells in a round robin fashion. Smart-Alek’s® Well Test Application provides you with the ability to enter numerous well locations into one device and view each well’s data on Zedi’s secure web application, Zedi Access (formerly smart-alek.com).
This session shows you how to:
- add wells to your testing rotation
- enter flow parameters such as meter run size and gas analysis
- schedule tests
