The city already had a well-established, trusted working relationship with Emerson and this Emerson Impact Partner and they were confident that their assets were going to be well set up for today, as well as for many tomorrows. They needed a flexible solution that could also enable the residential growth as needed.
John H. Carter, the Emerson Impact Partner that proudly serves that area and has a long-standing relationship with the city and has previously provided the city with other solutions that have historically proven very valuable for strong return, increased safety, longevity and reliability.
Together, with Emerson experts they quickly brought fourth Emerson’s Zedi IIoT platform that could enable them with relays to successfully monitor floats and limit switches mounted alongside each storm water pond.
After exhaustive testing of communications from each of the five ponds to the central office they were pleased with the fast, actionable data they could see anywhere, anytime via the cloud based SaaS solution. The city staff was also excited to have the alarms in place, tested and automated for specific end users to cry-out at set thresholds to help warn them of potential threats.
While the city did consider several other companies, quotes and IIoT solutions, the decision to work with Emerson for this project was ultimately the easy access to the right data, the experts at Emerson, as well as the trusted source for local service with John H. Carter.
