CHALLENGE
Technology has rapidly grown over the last couple of years, and the improved capabilities available to operators will make operations more efficient and facilitate regulatory compliance. It will also help improve safety since dated technology poses a safety risk when calculating the impact it can have on an oil and gas operation.
To successfully meet these KPIs, a Texas-based producer began looking for a single-source technology solution. Even though the producer acknowledged the existing SCADA supplier was unable to meet their advanced technical requirements, they were struggling to find a full, end-to-end solution to improve production of marginal wells and have a clear, up-to-the minute view of production.
The challenge was to create custom automation and software solutions that integrate seamlessly into the customer’s existing equipment.
SOLUTION
Our Emerson experts developed a solution that incorporated automation and software to provide the customer with a single- source solution for all their needs that fully encompassed the level of technology they required.
Our solutions integrated seamlessly with the customer’s existing equipment on-site, and we designed the system to work with their current operational processes.
Through the Zedi Access online platform and Zedi Go Mobile App, our customer can now view conditions in the field, quickly view production data, and remotely control well site functions in a single system, regardless of the field instrument used at the site.
